If we are gonna stick with Randall the rest of the year, then at least put him in the shotgun all game long and do draw plays, misdirection running plays and all pass plays from this formation. You're constantly running him out of the pocket on quick pass plays, why not start him on his way a lot easier in the shotgun? This has got to be obvious to more than just me.
I have noticed that saban is very stubborn about his offensive philosphies.. he doesnt like the option.. he doesnt like the qb to run.. he wants to run a pro-style eye offense.. he said this himself.. i think it is a definate weakness to not use your personel in the most affective way.. i agree that they should use the same offense that they used against florida.. quick paced, two minute style shutgun offense. He should look down the road at ULL.. yes.. ULL.. they are running that same style offense with Jerry Babb and it works.. Jerry Babb is as good as randall, maybe not as fast, but ULL has **** at RB, but they still get yardage..
I couldn't agree more. Not to sound like Capt. Obvious, but your offense has to revolve around the strength of your players. MR had his best game of the year when running QB options, bubble screens, and misdirection running plays against Fla. Why not stick with what works? A pro style offense in not MR strength
LSU was one-dimensional in this game because the running backs could not break out and the offensive line was opening no holes for them. Their pass blocking wasn't much better. There were two pre-season All-Americans on this line, but they sure ain't performing like it. My guess is that Jimbo started improvising on the game plan fairly early because the Tigers just couldn't run on Troy. Everybody left this season will stack the line and dare us to pass. We have to get a downfield passing game going and we have to be able to run the ball. One-dimensional won't cut it.
