    I'll answer with my typical response...Hooters! The one in metairie has the best looking women. Food, beer, women...what else do you need?
    go to Pat O'Briens and Razoos on bourbon.
    If you want cajun food, come to Pat's in Henderson.

    I love Deanie's in New Orleans - right off Bourbon and Canal? I stumbled there after the night before the Sugar Bowl and the food was awesome.

    3 drunk guys - one 6'6 250, 6'4 260 and me 6' 220 order the seafood platter.

    Notice I did not say platter's. This thing was 35 bucks and the three of us could not finish the damn thing. Soft shelled crabs, fried oysters, shrimp and catfish, scallops...everything you can imigine was on this thing. Plus the boiled potatoes (in crab boil) they serve right when you sit down are delicious. :thumb:

    To eat in N.O. - Seafood = Deanies, the one Downtown isn't bad but the one in BuckTown is ALOT BETTER.

    Burgers and such = Port O call, corner of Bourbon and W esplande (sp)

    Eats in BR - Seafood = Mike Andersons
    Burgers = brew bachers

    Should definitly try and make it over to The Chimes when in Baton Rouge. Its usually crowded on gameday, so best bet is to go Friday night. Best place to eat on Saturday would be campus -- just walk around and you'll usually be invited to have a burger and a beer from someone. Of course, you'll also take some good natured ribbings, but its good people.

    Swamp Tours are pretty fun, or at least I enjoy them.

    Forget Deanies in Bucktown. If you are going to go to Bucktown, go to Sid-Mar's or R&O's.

    If he is downtown or in the quarter, just send him to the usual places. Being from Oregon, he better like micro-brew. In that case, Crescent City Brewhouse. :thumb: Nice atmosphere, different brews, and fresh seafood for the eatin'. Don't know if he'd like that, though. Also, catch a concert at Tips or House of Blues. Man, I don't even know where to start. But start with that list. If you are gay, then disregard. ;)

    Have you guys lost your minds? Deanie's sucks and is a fried grease pit. If you are coming from that far away definitely go to one of the following: Commander's Palace, Palace Cafe, Mr. B's-(more casual), Antoine's, Emeril's (Emeril Lagasse), or Clancy's-but this is uptown. Trust me on this one. I work in New Orleans. DO NOT GO TO DEANIE'S.
