I will be in New Orleans for the Championship, but don't have tickets. Where is a good (LSU) Sports Bar or Open Party to watch the game in the CBD or Quarter, or Uptown area?

There is a really good band out of Baton Rouge, The Captain Legendary Band, playing at Tarantula Arms on Decature.

LSU v. Ohio State pre-game party @ Tarantula Arms on Decature (next to House of Blues). It's Monday Jan 7th @3pm. Come party with us!

is it just a pre game party or is it a good place to watch the game as well?

Not trying to be picky here as I love all my LSU brethren, however, it is Decatur. Please pardon my interuption. :)

Dude, you could probably watch the game ANYWHERE in the city, I mean anywhere. Even Bruno's Uptown.

I just found out i'll be able to make the trip, w/o a ticket, but i'll be in Nawlins anyway. I hesitate to ask, as it may be a stupid question, but where would anyone say i might find the most hospitable LSU congregation. I'm guessing bourbon street won't be it, though i think that's probably where i'll end up.

Any cool things that i should definitely check out? Should be getting in late sat. night, and leaving tues, so I should have some time to check out N.O. I would also like to see some of the rebuilding process, though i'd imagine it's pretty much the whole city? Not sure exactly, but i'd like to witness firsthand what's going on...
