He was dressed and on the sideline. I thought JV earned his right to stay in the game tonight though. Addai was healthy enough to spell him a few times and he made some really nice plays.
Bama's fast defense probably would have eaten him alive...JV did an incredible job hanging in there, and an injured Addai is still the best blocking back LSU has.
Didn't need him. Reguardless of who was back there, the run-blocking couldn't get it going--we were getting caught from behind before we even got past the line of scrimmage. We we having more success throwing the ball, and JV's abilities to catch out of the backfield are better than Shy's. If you were to put Shyrone in the game, you almost give away another option in the passing game, and almost tip the defense that you are going to run instead.
