I was in Section 125, Row 25, Seat 8 of the Superdome (the student section) cheering my head off for the Tigers in THE national championship game... Where were you? :crystal: :helmet: ldskule: :champs:
Sitting on my couch, watching the most amazing game ever, glancing every now and then through the window at the snowfall outside.
In Killeen, Texas Decked out in purple and gold sitting in a bar called Roosters watching the game on a big screen tv with other GIs just like myself so far from home in reality but commonly united with everyone in TigerNation for one brief moment in time.
In a lawn chair at the corner of Poydras and South Rampart. I watched the game at the HATT party about 3 blocks from da Dome :hihi: No $$$ for tix:angry:
Nervous as hell and trying to get just the right level of buzz to calm my nerves while retaining a memory of events. I gave myself the option of breaking the equilibrium in the event that things turned sour.
Seated next to LSUbud in section 532 about 8 rows from the top, I had Pneumonia and the doctor tried to keep me at the hospital - I told him that I had tickets to the game, and that I was going even if my eyes were bleeding. I got a couple of shots, rested for a day or so before, and while it was kind of surreal - I went. On a even more surreal note, the guy who gave Saban the BCS trophy was a former boss of mine.... (so weird)
I was watching the game with my wife at a good friends house, after the game i kept pinching myself thinking this only happens at other schools. It made me think to the 1991 season and how the game vs. fla state and the brawl after the game and the 58-3 vs florida ass wipping - thinking how far we have come. I went outside urinated and shed a few tears that night, a little hung over the next day did very little work. I spent most of the day at deangelos drinking a little hair of the dog.
Shakin the Sooner buses at the stoplight on Poydras and throwing Tiger Baits at all Sooner fans drinking my first dome foam of the night.
In my dad's bar drinking one beer per point for LSU. Then in numerous other bars attempting to drink one beer per point scored the entire season.
