ACC- fourteen Big 12- ten Big 10- nine SEC- nine (Bama, Tennessee and Vandy not playing any. Also, LSU only team in SEC without a game against one of “Big Six” here- outside of conf.) Big East- seven PAC 10- two (Only Az St. and Washington St.)
Don't forget the link.... http://collegefootball.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=796874 That's OK, I'm sure we'll whoop up on someone from the "Big Six" in our bowl game....Not to mention beat Florida, GA, Alabama, AU, South Carolina, and others on the way.
When you're the best, people should not expect us to come to them. You want some? Come and get it. Hell, I wish we could play a couple more at home.
Pac-10 cannot afford to schedule these kinds of teams since their own intrinsic conference schedules are so very weak.
That would be my thought too. The strength of scheduling inside the SEC gives us an advantage in that area. Considering from top to bottom we are considered to be tougher than most other conferences. When you play the likes of Bama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, and Arkansas all in one season you can offord to schedule "cupcakes".
They all have at least one team from the other five "Big 'uns" scheduled. I know schedules are done way ahead of time, for the most part. I also know that if LSU fans had their way, there'd be less cupcakes on our schedule by at least one each year. Some don't believe it but the VT game was huge last year and without it...kiss the NC game good-bye. Yeah but they beat up on each other all year.
