The most pressure and the least pressure on him? I say that Miles atleast for right now has the most pressure while Spurrier has the least. I know that O also has less pressure, but Spurrier is a Legend and they are just glad to have him in SC. He will be able to do no wrong there. If he wins 7 or 8 games, he is the man. Miles will be under the microscope all year. By far and away the most pressure of any coach atleast this year. Discuss
The gators do have expectations, but I would say Miles has more pressure on him. Everyone outside of LSU and the Fans of LSU believe we have more football talent than anyone, outside of the rubber company outwest. I would say Miles will start getting crap from LSU fans if he loses 3 games.
But, Florida doesnt have National people calling for Rose Bowl appearances either. Plus, its not like Meyer is following a legend at his school. Saban was an LSU legend and Miles has to follow that. Meyer follows Zook who got the raw fortune of following Spurrier. Could Miles be anohter Zook? I dont think so but think about it. Miles is proving he can recruit great players, but will he be able to win with them? Zook followed the greatest coach in school history, so is Miles. There are some similarities b/t the two. We have to wait til He coaches a few before we can make a true comparison. It was just food for thought. Interesting questions to discuss
Yes but Florida just fired their coach because the program wasn't heading in the right direction while Miles takes over a program on more stable ground. Also Florida is talented but not as talented as LSU. Miles should field a better team and will probably be expected to do better that Urban but thats why they play the games.
I would say Miles as well. Meyer has a lot but he could go 2 years without an East Title and use the Zook excuse. Then it would come on heavy. Miles going the next 2 years without a West Title would be much, much worse then that
Scrappy, I have to take exception to calling Saban "the greatest coach in school history." He was a great coach, but we've had some of those before.
