Things have been a little slow lately so hopefully this will give us something else to talk about. My vote would have to go to LaRon Landry. Number 30 has played all out since he stepped on the field as a freshman and has been a key ingredient to LSU's defense. He leaves it on the field after every game and I will miss watching him getting to know the other teams players on a helment to helment basis. Hopefully he'll get to meet BQ a few times on 1/3/07.

I'm gonna miss Burter Davis. IMO he is the BEST receiver on the squad hands down. He doesn't get the recognition as Bowe, but he has come through every time he's been called upon. Now that he's returning punts, he's gonna be even tougher to replace.

I agree with you about Buster being the best reciever. If wasn't partial to defense he would have been my next choice. We will definitely miss his unbelievable catches. I've seen some catches where it's just like "is that even possible?" Who would be your choice to replace him as PR?

I would have to say Trindon Holliday. I returned kicks in HS, and was always the smallest kid on the field (usually one of the fastest though), so I'm a little partial to him.

buster is nowhere near the best receiver... just look at the record books, but I'll miss LaRon the most... he was a cold-blooded sniper back there.

Without a doubt Landry. The guy brings it every single game. He is a ferocious hitter. Landry is also by far the best tackler on the team, he RARELY misses a tackle. He gets the most out of his given talent.

Bowe has emerged IMO as the clear number one receiver. Buster is a great complimentary receiver. For a while Buster could have arguably been the best, I too was thinking he was. The last 4-5 games though Bowe clearly jumped ahead of him though. Bowe really stepped up his game.

    Let me rephrase myself then...
Buster is the most reliable, surehanded, and versatile receiver on the roster.

i don't know about versatile, b/c bowe is our best blocking WR since Clayton
i don't know about reliable, b/c Bowe is Russell's #1 target in crunch time.

    he is more sure-handed, though.

im not taking anything away from buster. not by any means. i just think D-Bowe doesn't get enough credit. He's had a heck of a career, especially considering that he played 3/4ths of it blind.

I agree, Bowe is the best all around. Buster is very good receiver though in his own right. He makes all the catches and is a competitor. I really think Early will be the best of all the WRs to come out of LSU in recent years. He has the extra burst, plus the ideal size. He is still learning the position.
