1. Could you imagine?

I'm thinking @islstl at OC and @tirk as DC

    Taint can do public relations

  3. The 2 areas I am most concerned with are recruiting and coaching.
    Can he recruit?-Yes
Can he coach to a Win?-So far, so good. I think we need to see how he coaches thru adversity.

I am pulling for Coach O! I hope he delivers!

  4. Other thing that you are missing here is what would we have played like or what would the game have been like if miles was still at the helm. I would venture to say we would have gotten blown out like the tigers haven't been blown out in a long time. Now I think we at the worst case scenario we have a fighting chance if not a decent chance to win

  5. Lets just throw caution to the wind.

Give O the HC gig, bring in Kiffen for OC and Carroll for DC.
  6. Pete Carroll got $7 when he became the Seattle coach. Now that he has played led them to 2 Superbowls and won 1 how much do you think he makes now?
  7. I was being facetious. Kiffen knows offense and Carroll knows defense.
  8. Doesn't matter who the HC is, there will not be anymore NC's at LSU until the standards are significantly raised for Offensive Line recruiting.

Too many OL schollies are being thrown away on in-state OL's that are not SEC Caliber. Gotta get out of Louisiana and go Nation Wide.

Our best OL is from Illinois. (Recruit more OL's there and north of the Mason-Dixon Line) Aranda should have contacts up there.

Lacouture is from Nebraska. Recruit OL's there.

    Mid-West and North-East. That's where the OL's are.

Bama has OL's from all over the country. They Cherry Pick the best from all over the USA; don't just settle on Alabama OL's.

LSU has to start doing that....................
  9. I think the OL recruiting has been national, they just haven't been able to sign them all. LSU has even recruited and missed on some top in state OL. No doubt LSU needs to get better at OL and DL to compete for championships and it all starts with recruiting .
  10. A new coach is always a risk... I suspect with O, it wouldn't have to be a 5 to 7 year risk. I think O would take a lower base contract (3 years @ 3 Million/yr) which was back-loaded with hefty one-time incentives (not pay raises nor extensions) along with a promise to budget for top assistants and coordinators. With what I've seen of O at USC and LSU, if it was my decision to offer, I'd have done it before the Alabama game and hope that we land a strong recruiting class and keep Aranda for at least a few more years.
