Every year some unheralded tiger steps up and makes himself into a star. Two years ago it was Dorsey, who didn't start until he was a junior and then became a two-time All-American. last year it was Steltz who didn't start until he was a senior and still made All American. Who will be LSU's breakout star player in 2008?

    I'm betting on Dickson.

Im betting on somebody in the secondary, dont know who, could be Taylor or Coleman.

On offense, I think it is Richard Murphy.

Dickson is already a star to me.

You think? I thought he did pretty good last year, and if continues the pace he set in the NCG, he may well make an AA team. Murphy obviously will be an impact and Toliver is already talked about.

If I had to guess, I would say it would come on the defensive side. Coleman comes to mind, or Peterson, or even one of the new linebackers. So many to choose from, but I would probably pick either Chad Jones or RJF. I think those two will be making game changing plays every Saturday.

Does it count if I can't narrow it down to one?

Chad Jones will be the man. I have posted several times that we must find a way to keep this guy on the field every down. Now Miles is saying it and it is music to my ears. "Those snaps that he's not in the game are mistakes," Miles said. "We have GOT to play him."

This kid is the best athlete on our team IMO. Only mental mistakes can hurt him because of his inexperience. I truly believe he could play both safety positions, CB or OLB and do a great job if given enough reps. O.K., now is the time when we run the video showing him sacking the Bama QB. But my personal favorite, even though it came in a loss, is him chasing down Darren McFadden from behind, with no angle. You know, THE D-Mac, with the incredible 40 time of 4.29 or whatever. I think he should at least be used like McCray as a rover type. Anybody get the impression I am high on the kid--well maybe a little.

I think it will be one of the RB. Scott or Murphy will seperate themselves from the pack and be the guy that gets the bulk of the carries, ala Jacob Hester.

New starters: Coleman, Riley, Sheppard, 2 CB's (my guess is Hawkins & PP), Barksdale, a 3rd WR (Toliver), possibly a primary RB, a 2nd TE, Quinn Johnson.

I think all of these guys will do well. Barksdale, Coleman, Riley, Patrick Peterson, and Toliver in particular, I think will impress.
