    It's Spears, not even a contest. If it weren't for him, this D would be decent at best.

    Gotta go with marcus and his Sr. Leadership. Kyle Williams is a close second IMO.

    Spears didn't show up the first few games, but once he did, he's been lights out!

    decent at best without spears? not even sure what to make of that. maybe if mac brown was our coach I'd buy that but he is not and every defense NS has ever had has been excellent at worst.

    Agree, we still would be good w/out him, just not as good. I think Kyle has been more consistant all year though. Spears has been outstanding as of late.

    agree, williams made huge plays from OSU to now. We woulda prolly had one more loss without KW early on. Spears has been a monster since the midpoint of the season and is a leader off the field as well. I'd give it to both since every game is important.
