Who would you rather play in the east Uga or UF each year? I would rather play UGA; and the reason is it was nothing like that feeling of beating UGA last year at Tiger stadium and it was also cool to have gameday come out. That was my favorite game of the season( not counting the NC game) The atomosphere was unbelievable!!!!

I'd rather Florida because we still owe them some payback and I would love to see visor boy come back and see Saban own his azz every year. :geaux: :lsug: :champs:

    agreed

I would love for visor boy to return and have Saben whip up on him. We still owe them payback. I just think UGA is now the big boy in the east; UF is good but everyone know that they are not the big bad team in the sec anymore!!

I think I agree. We may owe Florida a whipping but UGA is still better for our schedule, at least right now.

I'd rather have UGA. I think that could develop into a serious rivalry among the two best SEC schools.

    Both of 'em

Bring 'em on ... when we beat both this year ... one of them twice because Tennessee has no chance ... we go Orange.

Pack those small oranges (5 to a customer) in your gear for the SECCG.

Bomb da' bastids with oranges after the game.

I can close my eyes and see a Georgia dome littered with oranges and hear the howling of the rabid Tiger Fans ... and da' lamentations of da' Jawja women.

    But that is another story.

Back when the SEC decided which East and West teams would play every year, they did so by putting like teams together.

    Florida-LSU
    Georgia-Auburn
    Tennessee-Alabama
    South Carolina-Arkansas
    Kentucky-Mississippi State
    Vanderbilt-Ole Miss

This was based on creating rivalries of "similar" teams. At the time, Florida was hands down the class of the West, so LSU was given alot of respect by being placed in their bracket. You could make an argument for many of the top teams during that time, even though LSU had a poor run in the 90's.

I enjoy the Florida rivalry, although we all miss the intensity of Spurrier. But, I must say, the two games last year with Georgia were great from a fan's perspective. I attended both, and most of the Georgia fans are first class. My friends and I are planning the trip to Athens this year, and we can't wait.

When the SEC went to only one permanent opponent from the other division they weren't about to break up the big rivalry games of Alabama-Tennessee or Auburn-Georgia. When there were 2 permanent East foes Kentucky was LSU's other East game but they gave Kentucky to Moo U. With the present balance of power Arkansas should be able to beat South Carolina most years but the only West team that got an almost certain win every year is Ole Pisser who gets to play Vanderbilt every year.

Yea, Ole Miss got a bye in Vandy every year. Doesn't say much about respect for Ole Miss, but you have to put Vandy and Kentucky somewhere...Kentucky is good for a few wins, and Vandy is good for bringing up the league GPA.
