except LSU (and Tulane for obvious reasons). They are already moving evacuees from the PMAC and Field House. If it is about hotels then just cancel the whole season because there won't be many for a while.
We should be playing in Shreveport. I can understand not playing in BR but come on. We cant have all away games. At least in Shr. we would have home field, AND I COULD GO TO THE GAME!!!!!
Hotel rooms for the opposing team and their fans? You're right then.....their will not be one home game this year. 90,000 plus people can't watch their home team play because 5,000 opposing fans can't find hotel rooms in BR?
Red, I have been agreeing with you all day. I don't even know why I am bothering to post replies since you say it all!
The hotel excuse seems suspicious. That said, does anyone here know much about how teams negotiate on scheduling. We know there is a split on proceeds, likewise the ticket allocation. I would assume, however, there are many other deal points the public doesn't hear much about. For instance, ticket allocation would be moot if the opposing fans had no reasonable way of attending the game due to lack of available accomodations. And who would want to play a difficult team with no fan support?
gov. Blanco is the reason the game will not be played in Baton Rouge, and that is why I will not vote for her next election. (I did not vote for her the first time and she has done nothing to change my opinion.) crying on national tv while people are dying in the streets.
