Why doesn't New Orleans have a WNBA team?

    Is it because New Orleans can't afford to have another team? Or is it that the WNBA is not interested in coming to New Orleans?

    He was being a smartass. You know, because the wnba sucks. It is awful and the only thing keeping that pitiful excuse for basketball alive is the NBA. NOLA can barely keep the hornets in the league, oh wait, doesn't the league own them now? Anyway, if NOLA had one of those horse stables the only people in the arena would be the two teams and the officials.

    New Orleans barely supports the Hornets. Do you really think they'd support the WNBA?

    Background info: in its 15 year history, the WNBA has had 9 franchises either fold or relocate. Not exactly a flourishing league.
