why doesn't the SEC rotate the SEC game championship fields.

Just curiousity. I mean from the looks of things, it'll be us vs georgia, so it's a homegame for them. Why not give the SEC title game to the field of the highest ranked team?

The idea is not to have the game on any team's home field. It is impossible to avoid it being in the same state as an SEC team. The rest of the SEC thinks that it is a home game for LSU for the Sugar Bowl to be in New Orleans.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Not only the SEC, other conferences too...and they're essentially correct. Not "home stadium" but "home game".

Sure NOLA has a dome, but you'd have the same thing.....

There are only a few legit places in convenient distance for SEC fans it could be held at, georgia dome, superdome, can't think of too many other places that are not home fields.

The only way to make it fair would be to play it in a state we don't have a team in, and that really makes little sense, you are giving money to a state outside of our conference and it doesn't make sense for logistical reasons.

I've always hoped they would alternate between sites in the East and the West. Now with the expansion, I'd like that even more.
Maybe look at some sort of rotation between Atlanta/NOLA, Tampa/St. Louis, Jacksonville/Dallas, Orlando/Houston. Just move it around some.

Just as long as it is not in Alabama - as long as they have a lock on the baseball tourney I don't want the football title game there.

Probably never happen, but you can wish.

No reason to come here for football. UAB still plays at the old gray lady and she is in rough shape. There are more roll tiders that you can shake a stick at.
