Just did another feature on SportsCenter about it with nothing more than speculation! They are doing there best to keep this alive, or someone is!!o:
Of course not. The more Michigan loses and the more LSU wins will only make it worse. But did you really expect anything else?
its fair speculation. I dont understand the overreaction of the local fans wanting to drop it. its possible to enjoy the season and still wonder whats going to happen plus its human nature. certainly, it doesnt help to worry about it but to ignore the likely possibility of les leaving is naive. that clause for michigan alone was not by accident.
It was a topic on PTI as well. Tony Kornholer said "We don't even know if Miles is a good coach. He's winning with Saban's players." :angryfire
we have a local blow-hard (bishop ott) claiming this was the best played/executed game ever in LSU history yet it was because of the assistants and in spite of the head coach (who is average at best). pretty hard to argue one and also the other is it not? Many might not think Les is a football wizard but thats pretty hypocritical to discount what he's accomplished thus far. You cant claim the best played game in TS ever then say the coach is average in the same breath. doesnt add up. these guys are well coached because of the coaching of everyone involved and also the lack of ego allowing this man to hire said assistants in the first place. either way its a stupid argument.
bingo. that was his m.o. at osu also. granted, he don't have the budget and the program at osu to get the same caliber coaches as here. but any coach that stipulates that part of what is being offered to him as a hc instead get put into the salaries of asst coaches so he has more to offer to get good people isn't stupid. and definitely not someone with an ego. (which is what he did when he got the hc gig at osu.)
Absolutely absurd argument. Coaches are measured by results, not their involvement in the execution. Of course, Brian Billick doesn't always seem to understand that. I agree it's a fair topic, and timely. After ND beats Michigan, I imagine the boosters will have a helicopter in Miles' front yard. And it's great discussion fodder for most of the country. I'd much rather be a fan of the team who's coach is being discussed because he's in demand, rather than the other side...
Isn't that the truth. If LSU would've played the worst game ever, they'd surely attribute it to him and we wouldn't even be hearing about his asst's. Perception is a funny thing but production is measureable in college football. Miles either has it or he's one lucky sum bitch to have accomplished what he has and after seeing the VT game and the youth of our team, I'm starting to feel like we're just scratching the surface of would is to come.
Every time a coach at a major program is fired or about to be there will be speculation on who his replacement will be. Carr is history IMO so expect the miles to michigan speculation to increase, not go away. It's nothing we can control so don't let it get to you. Miles will either stay or go and LSU will be successful with or without him. I do hope he stays but that decision is a long way off.
