Do u think Lane will become the new record holder for the most wins in LSU history? If you would have asked me this before the season started i would have answered YES, but now i am not sure if he can. I really hope he can come out of the pitching slump that he is in.
Well the way he's struggling right now it would take a big turnaround for him to do it. He's just not fooling anyone and his velocity and control aren't there. If it's mechanical it can be fixed, but if it's physical then I don't know if he'll have the time to fix it before the season is over.
If he starts every weekend series left he will only have 3 more starts before the post seaseon. This means he would have to win all 3 games left and at least 1 post season game to tie, if he is not pulled from the rotation by Smoke.
I agree, JMO but i think they may want to hold him out until Sunday to see what the other teams hitters are doing at the plate, this may give him some insight on how to approach them in the game he is pitching.
There is no way he gets 4 more wins this season. He would have had the record easy if he would not have fell off like he did.
I sure would love to see him do it. He seems very deserving. :thumb: But........I'm not putting any George Washingtons on it. :nope:
Might be a good idea. Both Dirks and Smith have been very impressive. Smith has just been incredible, so holding Lane till Sunday might be a good idea.
