I voted yes because we do have a loaded team but its hard to say under a new coaching staff. On the other hand didn't AU and most other teams lose key players, alot more players than we did? You would think? This year would seem to be gravy with the home schedule and most teams losing their key starters... We shall see...
I'm predicting us to win the WEST. But as far as overall championship I'll have to see when we get there b/c of injuries, matchups, and other factors.
Tennessee.....overrated. Georgia.....motor that never quit left. Auburn.....13-0 and self-proclaimed NC will last them 35-40 years. South Carolina.....depends on how many players are paroled by September. Kentucky.....looking forward to basketball. Vandy.....too busy studying. MissSt.....Belongs in the SWAC. Ole Miss.....if coaches stay sober and non-violent, 6-5. Arkansas.....4-5 yrs. of "if we'd only had Matt Jones today." Bama.....Shula is exposed. Bring back Mike Price, we don't care..." Yep. Tigers should win it. Florida is off the board. I don't know whether Meyer is for real. We'll see. Florida is only team I see possibly derailing the Tigers.
I could see arizona state giving us a hard time if we arent careful... Also, overlooking UT is never a good thing... but, they may have to forfeit, as things arent looking so swell for their roster number...
I voted yes. We have the talent to do it. Saban left 3 top-ten recruiting classes for Les to work with. The question mark is at QB. We will have a season that matches our QB play. I expect Russell to start, and if he plays well, grows through the season, if the players click with the coaching staff, and the coaches are smart and develop good gameplans, and there is player leadership on the team and they click with each other, we should control our own destiny. We have to remember Russell and Flynn are both sophs. They are still unpredictable. Neither has shown consistency, but Russell has shown flashes of brilliance. I would feel ok with 9-2, with a little luck 10-1 is possible. Three losses with those top recruiting classes will be a big disappointment to me.
We should, we have the players and the position coaches/coordinators to do it. Only very poor QB play, very poor head coaching decisions, or very poor team chemistry (or combination of the three) can really hold the team back. If they don't win the SEC, it will be an underachievement...however it won't change my opinion of how good a fit Les is for HC. I like him so far, only 3 or 4 .500 or losing seasons will change my mind about him.
The Sun Devil secondary is pretty beat up. They have plenty of time to get healthy but it's not the strong point of their defense anyway. If the starting LSU QB plays to his potential with Coach Miles opening up the offense..... :hihi:
