And for lagniappe the dominant player in our second most important recruiting area is in disarray. Unbelievable that UT could go from BCSNC game to conference wipping boy in 10 months. And they have work to do to put it back together.

This is an odd hire in my opinion. For one, unless he keeps Steve Adazio, or brings in another spread type offensive coordinator, I have to believe there is going to be a total change in offensive philosophy.

I don't think this was a very good hire, at least one that I don't believe will bring immediate success. I can tell you that if LSU were to have hired Muschamp after this season, I would be very disappointed.

No way on earth does this happen. WM did this for a reason. And the part of the bridge TX didn't burn, he just did.

I think Florida got themselves a great coach.

I wouldn't put much stock at all in Texas losing a lot of games this year...Mac Brown may be responsible for those woes and not Fischer.

Mac Brown is in the same situation as Charley Mac was in the sense that the fan base beginning to howl for his head and he's been there a little too long.

We've got a lot to worry about.

Saban-Head coach at a mid tier BCS conf school prior to LSU
Tressel-Head Coach at a successful low tier school
Carroll-College AND NFL head coaching experience!!
Chizik-Head coach at a mid tier BCS conference program. (OK, maybe low tier, but BCS conference team, nonetheless)

So yeah, this is absolutely nothing like that.

If Muschamp is given time, then he should be ok eventually. If Dan Mullen would have been hired, he could have hit the ground running. Muschamp isn't going to be able to do that, unless he adopts the same offensive philosophy. He is going to have to recruit different players to fit his style, or the style of whatever OC he brings in.

I just don't know about this hire, Dan Mullen had to have turned this job down, because this just does not make sense to me.

I think Florida got themselves a pretty good defensive coordinator, he's a long way from showing he can be a good head coach. What does LSU have to worry about? Is he going to be more successful than Myer?
