http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/1246 Also, drafts are affirming Russell as a no. 1 pick. http://weblog.signonsandiego.com/sports/chargers/cfx/2007/02/cfx_2007_first_round_mock_draf.html http://realgmfootball.com/src_feature_article/57/20070206/first_off_season_mock_draft/ This one is funny, people are already comparing to JaMarcus, he's becoming a celebrity!! http://www.the-ozone.net/hoops/06-07Mens/Hoopsweek/020507.htm
I could see it. Oakland is in dire need of a QB and WRs though (Porter and Moss probably gone). But they may trade down with Cleveland (if cleveland wins the toss with Tampa Bay). Then it would go most likely. 1. Cleveland - Russell 2. Detriot - Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn 3. Oakland - Calvin Johnson // FA pick up maybe Huard? This would piss off Tampa Bay though because if things stay the same, even if they lose the coin toss they would land Calvin Johnson, who they need with Galloway aging and Clayton dissappointing. 1. Oakland - Russell 2. Detroit - Joe Thomas or Brady Quinn 3. Cleveland - Brady Quinn or Adrian Peterson (probably AD b/c Ruben sucks) 4. Tampa Bay - Calvin Johnson
Regardless, from what I heard the Browns are looking to land Adrien Peterson because they passed over LT a few years back and have been kicking themselves ever since.
Cleveland's already got Frye (hometown kid) and Derek Anderson, 2 first or second year QB's. I don't think they'd go after another QB like JR. They do need a runningback, because Droughns is not the answer, so i agree with Kteam that the browns would take AP
For Russell's sake I hope the Raiders don't draft him. They have no O-Line, a very inexperienced coach, and an even worse owner.
