Will the week off be a positive or negative?

I think it would be nice to be able take the momentum from last week's big win into a game this Saturday. But since we are not, what's everyone's consensus on having to wait a week to play?

A positive thing is that some of the banged up guys will get to rest and get healthy again. I think we'll be ok since the team came together but just curious what everyone else thinks.

We're playing Troy, I don't think momentum really matters. I'm more concerned with the week off before Alabama next month.

Don't be foolish and look beyond troy :dis: . Yes we should win, but remember what they have done to Missouri and nearly South Carolina. I know we are not Mizzu or SC, but we have looked past much weaker teams and received very large scares. Or do you remember even a memory as bad as UAB :cuss: .

As a fan I guess we can be more complacent, but I don't like to be due to the fact that I think that the team feeds off of that sometimes.

I think that the off week is good for healing up the guys though :thumb: .

I am sure after totally dominating Florida in the manner that they did, every last LSU player would love to be playing again this weekend.

Getting Webster back is big. So from that standpoint, the week off is a good thing. Then again, players like Chevis Jackson are getting valuable experience in his stead.

Off week won't matter much. There isn't a team left on the schedule that should come within 14 points of LSU.

Going 9-2 will be nice but, gee, all those pretty comfortable victories between now and Thanksgiving are gonna be a bit...boring-?

Coming after the murderous road stretch the bye week happens at a good time.
Troy is not a Auburn, Georgia or Florida or even an Arkansas but they are not a team to be overlooked. LSU is due for a break. The bye week was originally scheduled for week 4 after the Auburn game but Moo U was rescheduled for that date to give LSU an opponent to break the Auburn, Georgia, Florida stretch.

regardless what we think....history is the best indicator of that question.

Nick Saban team + Bye Week= always a struggle

personally I'm glad skyler and corey get a week off but that doesn't mean we will play sharp, either. much better chance of that if we woulda not had the week off but we have to deal with it. twice.

Troy is not MSU and they aint coming to lay down for the Tigers. It would be a big mistake to think otherwise.
