I look for LSU to score 40+ if it's a dry game. If it's wet, they'll score about 28 or maybe 35 points at most. State will not be affected by the weather much, they're gonna have to play all out if they wanna score at all.. Dorsey and the boyz are hungry.
MSU is much improved and will keep it a game for the first half. They don't have the depth to stay with us and we pull away late.
I would hope so, because if it is not and MSU plays us tight, then we are gonna hear about it all next week from ESPN about our struggling offense
This game will be closer than some think. First game jitters, playing on the road in the SEC, new offense, etc., might lead to some sloppy play on offense. LSU 14-0 at the half. LSU pulls away in the 2nd half for a 31-7 win.
We have a new offense and a new quarterback and it will take a game or two to get untracked. This offense will not start in mid-season form. I don't expect a 40-point blowout. State is better than last year, it's at their place and it's a rare opportunity for them to be on national TV. I think they'll give us a good game. I look for something like 28-7.
It depends on what you consider a blowout. I'd be thrilled if we score in the 30s and keeping State to a field goal or two. We have a new offense, new qb, first game of the season, on the road against an SEC opponent, Thursday game... I'll be happy with a win, and looking at things realistically (and conservatively) will consider anything larger than a 14-point margin of victory over and beyond expectations. Quite frankly, as in any LSU game, so long as we compete up to our abilities and play a good game, I'm happy. A win against an opponent that we should win against is what I expect, to blow them out is just gravy.
40-3. That was a good score the last time Flynn started a game. For what it's worth, the last time I predicted a first game score was in '03. I correctly guessed the score (48-7 or something like that), and we know how the rest played out...
