With Tennessee losing to Florida and their 2 point guards out, it looks unlikely that they have a shot at a #1 even if they were to win the SEC tourney. Obviously they don't even have a shot if they don't do that. At the moment, the ACC has 3 of the top 4 teams in the polls. I think UNC, Duke and LSU can be pencilled in as #1s, but can Maryland grab the last #1 for the ACC? Ohio State or Rutgers might be in line for it and another conference champ would seem like a little more balanced seeding. Of course, this assumes Maryland doesn't win the ACC tournament! I can't recall if the SEC has ever received more than 2 #1s, though I know it's at least been close.
