Other than injured players out for the season, or no longer with their teams? 2011 SEC Media Days All-SEC Teams > SEC > NEWS
Reuben Randle, Spencer Ware, and Michael Brockers all belong on the list. Montgomery and Matthieu should be higher than they are.
And P.J. Lonergan. And Brandon Taylor. And Eric Reid. And Bennie Logan. And Drew Alleman. And the ODB. And Chris Faulk despite yesterday's injury...
Ware = 2nd team Ford = 3rd team Lonergan = 3rd team Randle = 3rd team Claiborne = 1st team (not a change, just noting it) Baker = 2nd team (not a change, just noting it) Mathieu = 2nd team Montgomery = 2nd team Brockers = 2nd team Simon = 3rd team Reid = 2nd team Taylor = 3rd team Logan = 3rd team Mingo = 3rd team (not a change, just noting it) Alleman = 2nd team Wing = 2nd team
I don't think you've paid attention to what #18 is doing out there, because you're selling him way short. 1st team without doubt. But because this is a popularity contest at season's end, he'll probably be no higher than 2nd team. #18 is killing it. Numerous open field tackles for little to no gain. The perfectly timed tip last night. He is performing like the best safety in the SEC thus far. And no tackle in the SEC is outperforming Brockers right now...and he's not even our best stat guy. He's just causing that much havoc. Ask Bennie Logan.
