Kyle Williams is on the second team.

    All-American Defense

    DT Claude Wroten, Sr. LSU
45 tackles, 5 sacks, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3 broken up passes, 26 quarterback hurries
It's hard to have one without the other. Fellow tackle Kyle Williams put up better overall stats, but Wroten was a wee bit more disruptive on the tremendous LSU line. His speed and quickness were far too much for most SEC linemen to handle, and he flourished when lines had to watch out for Williams. It also worked in reverse. Wroten became so dominant that he took the focus off Williams.

    2005 AP All-America Team

Kyle Williams made the second team. Andrew Whitworth, Laron Landry, and Skyler Green made the third team.

    Wroten is strangely absent.

It would be great to have Claude Wroten for 1 more year. I know he was here for 2 years, but it seems like its been so fast. If we had him back next year, he would definitely be the best DT in the country.
