Does this really affect anything since they will be merging with Sirius? I am going to be upset if I cant have the best of both worlds with Sirius. http://www.secsports.com/index.php?...e_id=8496&url_subchannel_id=&change_well_id=2
Ok, I found out that Sirius is still in collegiate partnership with LSU. And it looks like from the article there are no future plans yet to add LSU to XM. So now I am happy. Here is a list of the college partnerships: http://www.sirius.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Sirius/Page&c=FlexContent&cid=1152812365108
Same with Alabama and Sirius. FWIW, I've kept up (moderately) with the merger plans of Sirius and XM. It still has to make it past the SEC and FCC and if I understand what some of these financial guys are saying they have a few hurdles to overcome. I'd suspect, even if they do merge, they will maintain their seperate identities. Don't you? Owned by a parent company but offer two options...a lot like companies like Clear Channel do with TV and radio...
Right, I am not too familiar with the plans and I know they have alot of work to do. I would hope they would offer sports packages tailored to customer wants but that could be something offered sometime down the road to help sales, maybe not right away.
While it doesn't help driving, I have enjoyed the partnership we have with Yahoo. That membership has allowed coverage of quite a few games around the nation, outside of the SEC. Does LSU have an agreement in place with Yahoo also?
