Only the really really good ones can. And currently we don't have one of those on our roster. That's what I'm (hopefully all of us) are hoping Brennan will be. Which is why I want to make sure he gets his cherry popped this season in SEC play. I don't want a lost, confused and inexperienced QB next season. But if we ride Etling in hopes of making the Citrus bowl over the Belk bowl, that's what we will have. Remember when USC started 1-3 last season and decided to play their young QB? The one who went on to win PAC 12 Freshman of the year, the rose bowl and oh ya, hasn't lost a game yet. I know it isn't apples to apples because Darnold red-shirted, but hopefully my point is across. And to think, they recruited Darnold to play Linebacker too.
Yes but not because of your reasoning. We won our ncs with a game manager at QB. Mauck wasn't great. Flynn wasn't great. Etling fit that mold if we had a championship caliber team. Just don't screw it up. Now we know we do not. So fuck it. Let's prepare for 2018. So yeah but no.
I have mixed feelings about that. What if Brennan starts and looks great vs Syracuse and Troy and gets murdered in the Swamp because we can't give him adequate protection.
Florida isn't murdering anyone. Cheese teeth looks like Les miles offense on Xanax. It's terrible. Been that way since day one. They have a defense that can give mb fits but he can win it also. Oeaux has been looking for a reason to get Brennan in bc he knows he's a difference maker. Let's get that party started.
Might require 3 years to really get rolling. Without success Eaux might not make it that long. I think the fan base needs to calm down and be patient as long as we're moving in the right direction. The problem is it might be hard to tell if we aren't.
