just a few comments. if the BIG ONE hit and some part of the country fell in the ocean it wouldnt include Oregon, just some of California. the article said Corvallis is a liberal bastion. what a joke. just a bunch of farmers. eugene is the liberal bastion if there is one outside of portland. personally, i hope the government gets out of the marriage license business. to me, marriage is religious and should be done in the church. i never have liked my marriage given the same respect as some athiest couple (hetero). the government can issue some other license with a different name
