My heart is broken. I am in tears over the unfortunate situation facing so many hundreds and thousands of my fellow Louisianians. I saw, posted earlier, that families and friends of my Tiger family needs help. Send them to me! I will take them! I just got off of the phone with our mayor. The Town of Mamou will be opening up rescue centers that will accomodate several hundred persons. They can stay as long as they need. Food and water will be provided. If anyone is in need, please call me or my wife at 337-468-5888, or call the Town of Mamou 337-468-3175. The shelter will be open in 2 days. Arrangements are being finalized now. You have family/friends that need a place to stay now? Call me @ 337-468-5888, Southstadium Tiger (my brother) @ 337-468-2185. We can place about 20 people now in our homes. I just spoke to my brother. He is the Chief of Police here. Most of our police department and fire department are leaving tonight with flat bottom boats to assist in search and rescue. He has been a detevtive, a member of the La State Police SWAT team, worked DEA and ATF. I am so proud of him. After work, I will be going to Baton Rouge to assist in triage and treatment of those in need. Please keep this info, and pass it on to those who may need. Geaux Tigers!
You sir, are a splendid example of what's right during this tragedy. I applaud you and your generous family.
definately! you hate for tragedies to happen, and they take a LONG time to heal, BUT Louisiana will do just fine in the end with all of the generous people
