Do you realize that USC got 0 yards rushing!!!      :geaux: BRING ON THE FAKE TIGERS!
Thats an idea for a catchy nickname for the LSU defense. "Department of Homeland Defense" Like the Steel Curtain or the Doomsday Defense or the New York Sack Exchange
Quote by BigJ4LSU, SATURDAY CAN'T COME SOON ENOUGH!!!! I felt that way right after the game last night. We haven't had a 100 yard rusher on us all year. Georgia, Fla, and SC couldn't do it. Auburn won't do it. If I was them I would be worried, its also a home game. JC will have to play like JP to win he game Jason C= Jake Plummer..... I don't think its going to happen.... "protect the Homeland"
LSU has a lot to play for this week. If we win we control our own destiny in the SEC, the challenge of stopping AU's "super backs", and most importantly revenge. They kicked our ass last year and I think we should return the favor this year. The Cadillac will be shut down and if they try and pass Campbell will be on his ass allllll night. I can't wait!!!! Oh and its a NIGHT game. RUN BROUSSARD RUN!!!
Quote: "We haven't had a 100 yard rusher on us all year. Georgia, Fla, and SC couldn't do it. Auburn won't do it." I must say I admire the optimism. In your favor, LSU is ranked #1 D against the rush, with UT #49, Ark #54, and MSU #98 and is currently holding opponents to 56 ypg. On the other side of the coin, Cadillac has three straight 150 yard games against Tennessee, Arkansas, and Miss. State, and in some cases, was not the leading rusher for AU in those games. So we know they can run. There is a distinct possibility that LSU will commit to stopping the run to make JC beat them with the pass - it's been done twice this year. Auburn has not yet proven they can do this against a ranked opponent - should be a very interesting matchup. You may be right in your quote, but make no mistake, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina are not in the same league when it comes to rushing.
Your runners didn't do squat against USC and Ga. Tech. The stats were fattened vs. nobodys and overrateds. Likewise, LSU's rushing defense stats are impressive but we haven't really lined up against any heavyweights, except Georgia. It will be very interesting to see which one prevails.
I hope he plays like Jake Plummer normally does because that means he will throw more interceptions than TD's.
