Looks like New Orleans and the Hornets have met or exceed all of David Stern's and the NBA's benchmarks for relocating the team...so what does Stern do...delay the vote until maybe as late as May 17th. Read all about the latest turn of events -->> HERE <<--

    RIGHT ON!

I truly think that Stern was using these "benchmarks" as an excuse to deny us. (He actually made a Freudian slip the other day and said "these barriers...er, benchmarks")

But now that we have exceeded them even he cant deny us now. If the owners had a good basis for a lawsuit before, they have an open and shut case now. After doing EVERYTHING the NBA said we had to do to get a team, they have to give it to us now.

Let's keep our fingers crossed...they keep pushing back the vote. I think it is now set for April 17th. I would love to be able to see some professional basketball in the Big Easy.

Foster and the Legislature also passed some very helpful funds appropiation legislation (Wow I sound like Jesse Jackson) that will help keep the Saints, improve the New Orleans Arena, and build an indoor practice facilty for the Saints through a Hotel/Motel tax.

Good news...Louisiana is finally moving in the right direction.
