Will today's game be a continuation of yesterday's (i.e., as in a "suspended" game)? Since the game was called in the 7th, why doesn't it count as an official game? Unless the NCAA rules are different from MLB (in which 4.5 innings is an official game)? Just curious...
Yes, it's a continuation from yesterday. They'll pick up where they left off ... bottom 7 with LSU batting. The NCAA requires all 9 innings to be completed for a game to be official in postseason play.
That is really the only fair way to do it. Did they not restart last night because of the weather or something else? How are the games set up today?
You can keep pretty good track of things at: www.ncaasports.com/baseball/mens/scoreboard/div1 It updates often.
They will finish the first game and 50 min. after that one is over the first game against Rice will start. Not sure how long it will be between the first Rice game and the second one when wins but i would assume it would be 50-60 min. LETS GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second Rice game will not be played until Tuesday at 1 p.m. NCAA rules prohibit a third game today, at least that is what I read yesterday.
I am not in BR but the rador does not look that bad...they will be able to finish the NW game and may get some rain before the start of the Rice game but should get it in sometime today.
