Tonite is the first time since I've lived here that I can honestly say that the arena lived up to the title. It was an absolutely enjoyable experience to watch two giants in there sport go at it. I was amazed at the turn out. But, considering the Ladies are numero uno and they were playing Pat Summit and the Vols, the turnout was not really a suprise. Everyone wants to follow a winner. Who could blame them though? Anyway, I dont see why the Mens games cant get crowds like that. Well, maybe 15,000 is a bit of a stretch, but why not 10 or 11? I understand the Brady hatred and all this, but I believe that all these people that refuse to go watch it are rediculous. The team plays good ball at home, they've only lost 1 game in the PMAC. That team feeds off the crowd energy. Can you imagine what you would get out of those guys if 11,000 people were up and rocking the entire game like tonite? Tonite proved that this town can be a basketball town. But, the FANS make it what it is. Tiger Stadium would not be "Death Valley" if it werent for the 92,000 people that rock it on a weekly basis. Please don't give me anything about the product not being good for basketball. The men are good. I wish some of the people here who bash Brady or mens basketball would just go and make it fun for the guys to play in. That team can possibly win the SEC west. They are a lot of fun to watch and I think if people would give them a chance you'd see that.

Brady has killed LSU basketball. We have been on probation for 8 years.

Tonight was amazing feat, the PMAC has not been that full since 1981 when the mens team played ole piss!:D for the #1 Lady Tigers to be resilient and play tough basketball for 40 minutes I have to tip my cap to them for an amazing effort. I went to the game and i was so tired from screaming that i feel like lsu just won a football game. This was the first time since i have attendended Lsu that their was accually a line to get in to watch a basketball game! All I can say is WOW!! what a night!:thumb:

As far as the men's team goes they should have at least 10,000 fans on average to watch an SEC game. Last year when Kentucky came the attendence was embarassing. Lsu really does have a good team but I'm affraid the attendence inconsistency comes from Lsu's win inconsistency. Sometimes they look like a legitimate top 25 team (vs.MSU) and sometimes they can fall apart and play inconsistent losing games they should win (Tennessee)! Which may root from a lack of depth from the bench. If starters are not having a good night they need a spark off the bench to carry some of the load. The attendence won't be back up untill Lsu shows more consistency and goes to the NCAA Tournament or win the sec! People are not going to want to follow a inconsistent team except for the diehards like me! Unfortunately we are not all diehards and some people have better things to do.:dis: Brady does not really make an effort to get people to come to games! I guess what I'm trying to say is people are frustrated and they have no motivation to show up and root for the Tigers.

    Very good post!
