well...

  1. Obviously the team didn't play very well today. I've yet to see the game, since I'm at work. BUT, I did watch the game over the Internet and was thoroughly disappointed.

All I've gotten to see so far is stats and things looked pretty bad.

The defense did play well enough and is obviously improved from last year.

LSU lost this game because the offense couldn't move the chains. Because the Tiger offense couldn't move the ball, field position was CONSTANTLY in Virginia Tech's favor.

Any team worth a damn will score 26 points when they're constantly given a short field to work with. The defense did great not to let the score get into the high 30's or low 40's.

Hopefully the offense can gain some game rhythm next week against the Citadel and show marked improvement against Miami and Mississippi State.

I knew long before today that this game would not make or break LSU's season. Hopefully this will serve as a motivater for the offense to play as a cohesive unit.
