Bass Named to Academic All-District Six Team

BATON ROUGE -- LSU forward Brandon Bass, who has excelled for the men's basketball team both on the court and in the classroom, was named a member of the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Six team named Thursday by presenting organization CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Association of America).

District Six represents student-athletes in the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Student-athletes must be a sophomore in standing and have a GPA of at least 3.20.

Bass, who has a 3.45 GPA, will join the other four players on the District 6 team as eligible to be voted by the CoSIDA members for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American team for men's basketball, to be announced next month.
