    I said my peace...

    Mr. King.

Can I send you the address to send that bowl of Gumbo you owe all of us... ?

Our own AD Skip Bertman made this comment.
"What I don't quite understand is how these guys can do those things and not be correct," Bertman said. "Peter King (of Sports Illustrated) said he'd bet his house that Nick will be with one of three NFL teams this year. Well, that hasn't happened, has it?

You are doing your job and stating your opinion, which is what you are paid to do, but you fail to realize when comments like these are made it hurts our program and recruiting. Saban himself is frustrated with these false reports. Our program is constantly fighting an uphill battle in recruiting because of outlandish statements like this. Yes I am aware about Saban and the Jags. However if someone would actually print the truth (Read the article on www.theadvocate.com) people would realize he took the call heard what they had to say and said thanks but no thanks. He was never really interested in that job, and once again said he is more committed then ever to LSU. Why dont you print that ????, Why is it that people such as you print a retraction stating your false comment. Here try this.
"Earlier I made the comment about Nick Saban of LSU to the NFL, Saban has time and time again refuted such aspirations and has time and time again spoke of his committment to LSU and the program from Baton Rouge. He has once again reported his committment to LSU is stronger then ever, and it appears LSU has found a winner in Nick Saban"
Mr. King feel free to use that, the only royalty is the Gumbo you owe me and my fellow Tiger fans.

I guess all we ask when you make comments like this, is you get some basis for your comments. Some facts, or something to back it up. You are well respected and should be, but unfounded comments can sway recruits away from our program and frustrate a program on the way up, even though there is no truth to them

    Geaux Tigers
    Thanks for your time.

We need to arrange for Mr. King to come to one of our games to tailgate so we can collect our gumbo that we are due. I can't imagine how many gallons it would take to serve 90,000 bowls of gumbo.

    I'd say 14,062 gallons. assuming 2.5 cups per person.:D :D :D

since it's in bulk he could probably get it for $5/gallon so it would only cost him about $70,000

He did say he would bet his house that Saban would be in the NFL. I guess we should set up a time share so that all the fans could use it .

    He can keep his gumbo

    Mr. King,
If your gumbo is like you preditions - keep it. We know how to cook Gumbo down here and how to keep a coach. Oh by the way since you bet your house that Saban would be gone - you owe us that too.
