Not to mention a weekly dissertation on the injustices being perpetuated upon minorities in athletics.

Did anyone notice the subtle shot at Brady in the same issue in the article on the Princeton offense? The article discusses the spread of the Princeton offense originally designed by former Princeton coach Pete Carril. In it, they discuss the current Samford coach, Jimmy Tillette, being one of the first non-Princeton affiliated coaches to implement the system. Here's the quote:

"The results were startling. In 1998-1999, Tillette's second season as Samford's head coach, the Bulldogs went 24-6 and reached the NCAA tournament -- a feat they had not accomplished in six years under Tillette's predecessor, John Brady, who had left for LSU."

Incidentally, they include a list of teams that now use a version of the Princeton offense. The list of 101 teams includes Southeastern's mens team, Loyola (N.O.) men, Catholic (B.R.), Jesuit, Northshore H.S. and Dominican.

    Of Interest to DFW Tigers

According to ESPN Radio the Mavericks are riding a 3 game losing streak, all to teams running the Princeton offense.

Well since you brought it up... Tillette did that with the players that Brady recruited. Have you noticed how well Tillette has done the past 3 years since he has had to coach with his own players?

Not very well. It is a fun system to watch when the talent is there. It takes a very disiplined athlete to work in that system. Most teams won't schedule the Princetons of the world because it is like going to the dentist... You get drilled!!!
