Re: CBS Going Prime Time!!! Plus Arkansas Game No Longer On Friday!!!! Really? 2/3? The NYSE is open for trading a half-day, but I'm at home in time for kickoff (and trading is so light that I barely need to be there). I would say that most of the white collar workforce, and all students are off that Friday.
Re: CBS Going Prime Time!!! Plus Arkansas Game No Longer On Friday!!!! I'm as white collared as can be, and my office is open. At 2:00, or whatever time it's played, I'd be willing to bet the majority of people in the country are at work. Of course...I could be wrong...but I wouldn't bet on it.
Re: CBS Going Prime Time!!! Plus Arkansas Game No Longer On Friday!!!! at work or shopping, it is the bussiest shopping day of the year. But still, it only competes on TV with the Texas TexasA&M game and they usually are aired at different times. I like it on Friday myself.
When you consider the great tradition of LSU under the lights, I could never understand why the networks were not falling over each other to get the rights to telecast it.
Re: CBS Going Prime Time!!! Plus Arkansas Game No Longer On Friday!!!! Well, the important thing is that you're watching it at the office. Many others are hopefully doing the same.
Unfortunately, the Cubbies playing under the lights is more well known than our beloved Tigers playing under the lights. Southern football lore has still not crept far enough out of south, to make a reasonable impact in the north, midwest, and west. :cuss: The corollary to this is that unfortunately, the lore of Meechigan, Tosu, n.d., and USuCk has made its way down to the Dirty South because of our love for all things football.
The only problem with this as stated is that the Nov. 24 Auburn-Alabama game is in Auburn not Tuscaloosa. Hope CBS gets the cameras in the right town:hihi:
