    1. Phoenix 33-14
    10. Houston 28-20

Phoenix is only 5 1/2 games from being home for the playoffs.

    That's absurd.

Houston, 10th in the West would be 4th in the East, nipping at the heels of 2 and 3.

Ah, the NBA so needs to put in the best 16 teams regardless of conference.

Thats a bs statement, because the game is very physical in the East, Tracy McGrady knows that, thats why he ran out west in the first place and he is still only playing half the season. Think about if he was still in the East, he would be retired by now.

if you really think the eastern teams that are currently in the playoffs like Atlanta could do anything in the West, you're off your nut.

Houston kicked Detroit's ass and kicked Orlando's ass earlier in the season and the majority of their wins in this winning streak are against eastern (JV) teams.

The West would absolutely dominate the East as a whole.

With that being said, Dallas is 21-6 against the West but only 11-9 against the East...thought that was odd.

for every stat like that, there is a Houston who is 16-13 vs. the West and 12-7 vs. the east or a San Antonio who is 19-13 vs. the west and 10-3 vs. the East

or Detroit who is 23-6 vs. the east and 11-7 vs. the west
or milwaukee who is 13-15 vs. the east and 5-15 vs. the west

kicked Detroits ass are you serious, I think Houston won by 3 points on 12/12/07 the begining of the season.. And we came back and beat the brakes off of Houston by 12 on 12/23/07.

so if you are going post, post facts.

Oh by the way, Detroit does have the second best record in the league.

yeah. it's pretty easy to do that when you play all the east teams 4 times and the west teams 2 times.

rather than vice-versa in the other league.

    my whole point is this:
the eight-seed in the west could legit win the conference if they got hot. easily...

could the eight-seed in the east, the 20-27 Nets who have lost 8 of 10? I don't think so.

You speak about physical play. Go ask the Cavs if the Spurs are physical.

Nevermind, they wouldn't know, because the finals didn't last long enough for them to find out.

the schedules are about the same in both conferences. Also, I thought this was about the Rockets, you picked one of my points and ran with it. When in fact, I rebuted your claim that the Rockets destroyed my Pistons, when that didnt happen. Detroit can compete in the west all day any day. I dont care about the Cavs or Lebron. Thats not basketball to me, thats one superstar and some sandlot players.

5 straight eastern conference finals..........Deeetroit Basketballllllllllllllll

if they suck so bad, why did they beat Detroit?

The Pistons CAN compete in the West... just not at a high level. The record I pulled up earlier about then in the west proves that.

and the schedules ARE way, way, way different.

East schedule: 52 games versus east
    30 games versus west

    West: 52 games versus west
    30 games versus east

that's a rough estimate, but it's somewhere in that ball park.

you going to tell me that it isn't a big difference?
