yup. Starting on March 11, any secondary unit is going up from $6 per month to $8 and the free internet stream (with your paid account) is going away and being replaced a pay internet stream for $3 per month per account.
yeah they are really trying to milk every last dollar out of their subscribers. They are already on my bad side with their new contract with Bubba the Love Sponge, plus Howard is becoming very stale. These new prices are pushing me to the limit. Also it depends on what contract you have with them as to when you are affected by the price increases. Okie, if you just signed up and you signed up for a year, then you should be fine until you have to re-up. At least that is what they are claiming now.
so much for the promises to the fcc they wouldnt take advantage of being a monopoly if they merged. kryp, unfortunately i signed up month for month originally thinking after three months i would do the year payment (even tho there isnt a price break for paying a year in advance like there is dish). when i got the xm receiver in my new highlander it came with a free three month trial so i was gonna wait till after that. its likely too late to change my mind. i guess i can check to make sure tho.
I wish I'd have thought of that one. I signed up for 2 years to get 5 months free. I don't have a secondary unit and I don't stream so no problem here.
apparently, that promise only covered their base package. I don't have a secondary unit anymore, but I stream at the office every freaking day. But on principle alone, I ain't paying the extra $3.
