    Actually I'm not. I'm saying the 2A is the people's defense against the potential for a tyranical gov't.

    Apparently the one that tells the truth, and not the one that says nice stories like Columbus found America and the 2nd amendment was to protect against a tyrannical government.

    I just don't think the government will make a move against the citizenry.

    I'm all for the second amendment.l though. I would like to see a one stop process for background checks to be done quickly.

    Does anyone know what system there is right now for the background checks? How long does it take ? Does it rely on self reporting by mental hospitals and law enforcement agencies and the military? Is it working?

    I know the Texas church shooter wasn't reported by the Air Force.
