Archer took a great football program... did okay (not great) for a couple of years with former talent... then the bottom fell out... Tiger football struggled for a while... it took a good coach 3 years to make it a nat'l championship team... skip built a dynasty... smoke takes over...did okay (not great) for a couple of years...now, we're struggling to get out of a regional... if a skip team struggled to get out of their own regional... we'd be shocked... I mean... a regional... My concern isnt so much that smoke's not a good coach... I just want to know if the bottom's falling out of the baseball program.
Skip didn't win every regional we ever played in, either--though it was a different system of regionals when he was coaching. Still, it does look like something is far different than the days when Bertman was our coach. The pitching definitely has taken a downturn.
