How many NC's did UT win while Chavis was there? I remember UT having awesome Talent but they would drop a game or two every year.
for the record I dont like Chavis. His gameplanning cost LSU 2 games this year. I know you can argue the point but thats how I see it.
Against Auburn he played that (hold your block and guard your gap crap). Tonight he made some poor calls in critical parts of the game.

Relax. He's done great working with the personnel he has. He essentially invented a new formation and style of play this year (the 3-2-6 Mustang package we run nearly 70% of the time now) while also working a lot of freshman and sophomores into the mix.

He's done a great job, all things considered. I'm sure you could nitpick individual decisions he's made but his entire body of work speaks for itself. He's got LSU's defense in good shape not just right now, but going forward.

We have the best defense in the friggin' SEC. Chavis had highly rated defenses at Tennessee, too. Chavis and the defense ain't the problem.

noo. noo noo. Chavis did not solely lose the game tonight. My point is UT used to get the best Athletes in the nation and somehow they would always drop a game or two and I THINK it was because of Chavis. I know for sure when LSU beat them with Rohan It was Chavis's fault

I think it's because he coached in the SEC and most SEC teams drop a game or two. It's a tough conference.
