Bullshit. Manufacturers dissolve the same volume of carbon dioxide into their plastic- and aluminum-bound products, but polyethylene terephthalate plastic is somewhat more CO2-permeable than aluminum. That means the fizz will leak out of a plastic bottle of Coke at a higher rate than it would from a can. Over 12 weeks of storage in poor conditions—a hot place with direct sunlight—soda in plastic bottles can lose up to 15 percent of its carbon dioxide
I buy Coke in the 12 ounce cans because I can get a 12 pack for a little more than $3 and it tastes better than Coke in plastic bottles. But the best tasting Coke is from the small glass bottles.
gave most of it except for the bourbon & coke. started eating better, a little exercise and have dropped 92 lbs in about 14 mos. soda will kill yer ass
I was talking to someone when I posted that. I meant to quote/post a section that showed this is even moreso with glass bottles. They ARE the best.
Started working out and watching what I eat. I have very little soda if any now. In the month of February, I probably had a grand total of 3 12 oz cans. Once you start drinking water, it's so much better. And much cheaper when you go to lunch.
When we used to go to lunch as a family, drinking water instead of cokes/tea, we saved 8-10 bucks per meal. It definitely adds up.
