Ok all, time to put your predictions out there for all to see: 1. How far do the Tigers advance in the NCAAT? 2. Who plays for the NCAA title? I think LSU makes it to the Sweet 16, losing to Michigan St. after beating Yale and Belmont. what say you?
I can see us getting to the sweet 16. I'm not so sure that Belmont will beat Maryland but we should be able to handle either. It's really hard to get a handle on how the team will respond to Tony Benford with just a one game sample to go on. If Wade was somehow reinstated I could see us pulling the upset over Michigan State as well.
Mich St. is rightly a higher rank, but on athletic ability alone we should beat Yale like a drum. Maryland is not overly impressive either. Sweet 16 and give MSU scare are my expectations.
Yeah I think we easily handle Yale and Belmont or Maryland. Don’t expect us to hang with the Spartans unless Benford is special or WW is back. Don’t expect either to happen.
If we get to Duke, we beat em just because Dukie V is pulling for the blue turds. Sweet 16 is realistic, but my heart says NC. With Benford we’ll probably hit a wall, most likely against Mich St.
I have us in the sweet 16 right now, but I'm back and forth on us even beating Maryland. Going off CBS sportsline scouting reports, they've got a center-power forward combo that may be up to handling Reid and KBW. A few other things I just don't have the guts to put on my bracket....Wofford upsetting Kentucky, and a Michigan vs Virginia final. I caved and went with Duke to win it all. Was even tempted to go with MSU over Duke, but Sparty has burned my bracket too many times.
