Well, I went from 1992-1994 (graduated in Dec 1994). The Curley era. Wow, the most vivid memory I have are: 1) Sitting in the student section in the freezing freakin cold watching as Ole Piss kicks our butt. It is the 4th quarter and there is nobody in the stadium. My brother and I are sitting there looking at each other as Ole Piss scores again, saying, "WTF are we doing?" The we realize it's Tiger Stadium, this is a privilege! So we take another sip, and do a two man wave screaming "Geaux Tigers"! 2) Getting really pissed as visor boy comes to town and hangs 56 points on us. I have never been so mad!!! 3) Sneaking into Tiger Stadium with the future Mrs. and christening midfield. 4) Alex Box!! The Tigers were just starting their run!!! The games were great!! 5) Being a student at LSU!!!
1 - standing in line for a week for the LSU/DUKE game in '91. A line started forming after the sunday game against Chapman college for the game which tipped off at 3:00 the next saturday. There was about 300+ by wednesday. 2 - LSU/FLA ST game in '91 where it rained so hard the water was white capping coming down the stairs. 3 - happy hour at superior 4 - nickel pitcher night at Ernies (better known as fish in a barrell night) 5 - kirby smith bon fire 6 - playing bball in the armory 7 - Vrooman for freshman econ
I should have mentioned witnessing the Great Tigertown Fire of '73. The whole block of shops and beer halls across the street from the Varsity Theatre burned to the ground. The Varsity was a porn movie house at the time and The Chimes was still a Rexall Drug store.
My favorite class memories were drinking in my sr Finance class just about every day. It was an auditorium class. I sat in the back with a six pack of PBR and would drink until finance was intresting. I made an A in that class. Another favorite is when I gave my presentation on Java in Accounting Information Systems. It was supposed to be about the computer language. I did it instead on my friend Javier whose nickname was Java. I got an F on the presentation, but I also got the hottest girl in the classes interest.
Earthquake Game 88 Camping Out overnight on the PMAC ramp to watch Shaq duke it out with Christian Laettner the next morning Watching Warren Morris' CWS home run Pool parties at Oakbrook Village Fred's having Jimmy Buffet do a fund-raiser at the P-mac for my frat. Seeing Jimmy Buffet play afterward at "the gator bar" reading the graffiti from The Bayou Graduating was great Barbara Bush did the honors
Last year's Georgia game with ESPN's College Gameday. My roommate and I woke up at 7am and started drinking. Went and sat outside the student sect gates at around 9am where he passed out on the ground and left me surrounded by purple & gold body painted, elvis & batman sober people. I could barely stand up and felt like I was making an a$$ out of myself. We got down right next to the field and right in front of the cheerleaders! The game was just so electrifying - the atmosphere was great. I met Johny Knoxville last week in Reggies, but that doesn't really deserve to be one of my fondest memories. My nickname became Triple P after a long night of drinking. I had woken up in the middle of the night and pissed in the pantry - I destinctly remember going in there to get food, but I passed out and I guess when i woke up I had to pee... "Pantry Pissin' Parsons" they called me. One other night of a whole lot of alchol where I woke up the next morning with a mid-eastern chick in bed with me, and no knowledge of the night before. I was in my boxers but she was clothed so I didn't think anything had happened. She left, I looked in the mirror and saw claw marks going down my back. My roommate nicknamed her "Osama" and they've been making fun of me getting raped ever since. Edit: Maybe I should try and make some great memories without massive amounts of alcohol envolved so I can remember them better.
I was there, man it was awsome. I have never seen anything like that before. I get chill bumps everytime I think about it. I remember it like it was yesterday. Man what a game. Those were the good ole' days. Wait a minute........ Crap!! . . . . . I wasn't born untill 74' :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi:
