Never had fried turkey until three years ago. IMHO it is VASTLY superior to the oven or grilled variety. Having stated that, I am a ham for Thanksgiving and rib roast for Christmas kind of guy. Both whip the ole Turk - Turk perry bad.

My oldest daughter and I am pushing for turducken next Thanksgivig. I am concerned that what is available up here won't be a good quality product.

If you want to impress me about Popeyes, tell me they had a white worker.

I agree that fried is much better than oven. Seems to seal the juice.

As for your turducken, you can oder through the net from a lot of places in Louisiana now. If you want me to find you one/a place, shoot me a pm.

Same here. Had on last year for Thanksgiving. We all decided it was much ado about nothing.

I've never had it, never intend to. Shyt never tempted ME. I was just offering my help since he said he was worried about what was available up there.

LSUTIGA: Thanks for your offer, but maybe I will back off, too. Thanks anyway, and have a HAPPY, HAPPY!

Squirrelposscoon is fine with poke salad and armadillo on the halfshell.
