Best Fried Turkey

    Never had fried turkey until three years ago. IMHO it is VASTLY superior to the oven or grilled variety. Having stated that, I am a ham for Thanksgiving and rib roast for Christmas kind of guy. Both whip the ole Turk - Turk perry bad.

    My oldest daughter and I am pushing for turducken next Thanksgivig. I am concerned that what is available up here won't be a good quality product.

    I agree that fried is much better than oven. Seems to seal the juice.

    As for your turducken, you can oder through the net from a lot of places in Louisiana now. If you want me to find you one/a place, shoot me a pm.

    Same here. Had on last year for Thanksgiving. We all decided it was much ado about nothing.

    I've never had it, never intend to. Shyt never tempted ME. I was just offering my help since he said he was worried about what was available up there.

    Times are tough right now...I couldn't afford Turducken....had to settle for squirrelposscoon this year :eek:

    Squirrelposscoon is fine with poke salad and armadillo on the halfshell.
