Never had fried turkey until three years ago. IMHO it is VASTLY superior to the oven or grilled variety. Having stated that, I am a ham for Thanksgiving and rib roast for Christmas kind of guy. Both whip the ole Turk - Turk perry bad. My oldest daughter and I am pushing for turducken next Thanksgivig. I am concerned that what is available up here won't be a good quality product.
I agree that fried is much better than oven. Seems to seal the juice. As for your turducken, you can oder through the net from a lot of places in Louisiana now. If you want me to find you one/a place, shoot me a pm.
