Maurice Clarett denied!!

    This doesn't really affect Clarett at all since he is elgible for this year's draft. But it does affect any other players that would have tried to come out before being 3 years removed from high school in the future.

    and that's the way it should be.

    i think what baseball does should be the norm in every sport: if you decide to go to college, you must stay in for at least 3 years before pursuing professional contracts.

    You know if he would have won this case the next thing in court woould have been lost wages lawsuit.

    That's not true for baseball at all...Alex Fernandez was a star at Miami his freshman year, knew he'd have to stay two more, so instead transferred to a juco for one year, and then declared himself eligible, thereby getting around the third year...

    I don't know how often it happens, but it does happen...
