So friggin' what? Great deeds are usually wrought at great risks. -- Herodotus Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. -- Robert F. Kennedy Audacity! Audacity! Always audacity! -- Frederick the Great Take calculated risks. That is quite different from being rash. -- George S. Patton Those who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try nothing and succeed. -- Lloyd Jones The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.-- Winston Churchill Most people would rather be certain they're miserable than risk being happy. -- Robert Anthony To win without risk is to triumph without glory. -- Pierre Corneille The policy of being too cautious is the greatest risk of all. -- Jawaharlal Nehru Well, enjoy your season then. We've become fans of audacious football. Les and gary Crowton play to win instead of "not to lose". We're sitting here with a crystal football and you expect us to be worried about our coach taking risks?
I have to agree with Red. I love the "balls-out" approach to football that Miles, and now Crowton, have. It's exciting; in fact, I cannot remember a time that LSU football was ever more exciting than since Miles has come onboard. I mean, is there any doubt that we went so conservative and lost @ AU in '06 because of Fisher's conservative gameplan? Think about it. From the night at Arizona State when we faked a punt on about the 10 yard line (and made it), I've thought to myself, this Les Miles is a guy that is tailor--made for the crazy LSU Cajuns.
Damn Red, that took some time and effort. If you aren't, I think you should be...we'll see how it comes out.
What do you mean "comes out"? It's already here. :crystal: You should be worried about Bama's game plan for MSU and Auburn.
I'm not. They can both enjoy it while they can. Hell man, you know the conference landscape is changing.
That play was actually not called by Miles but a checkoff for the punter. But I do agree with you. :geaux:
Yes, it was a check-off by Chris Jackson, but I can pretty much guarantee that check-off would never have been allowed under Saban.
